How we can help

ANDREW BACON is a proud Yamaji man who grew up in a troubled household during the 1970s. He is a gentle soul associated with the Black Dog Institute. Andrew decided to share his story with us because he wants to help people who might resonate with his experience and be inspired to seek help.

It is stories like Andrew's that has led to the development of a more culturally safe helpline for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people like 13YARN.

Jessica shares how talking to someone about her concerns made all the difference.

Jessica shares how opening up and sharing what was on her mind helped her better understand what was going on for her and realising that she didn't need to sort through everything on her own.
